Parade -  Reunion concert
New York/America - February 16, 2015

Jeremy Jordan, Laura Benanti, Joshua Henry, John Ellison Conlee. Conducted by Jason Robert Brown

A fantastic capture of this one-night-only concert at Avery Fisher Hall. Jeremy and Laura give incredible performances, as does Joshua Henry and too many others to name. Jason Robert Brown gives a speech after the curtain call. Truly an epic night of theatre. This is a very near perfect video with no obstruction and only slight washout in wide shots. There are two quick dropouts in the first few minutes, but the concert is otherwise fully captured. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, Jason’s speech, and playbill scans.A+

Jeremy Kushnier, Ruby Lewis, Ryan Vona, Bret Shuford, Sarah Meahl, Kat Cunning.

Great HD capture of the new and first Cirque du Soleil musical on Broadway. All the tricks, stunts and visuals you would expect from a Cirque show. Some really beautiful moments and parts throughout!

Broadway/America - June 19, 2016

Jeremy Kushnier, Ruby Lewis, Ryan Vona, Bret Shuford, Sarah Meahl, Kat Cunning, Tom Ammirati, Chelsey Arce, Andrew Atherton, Kevin Atherton, Lee Brearley, Yanelis Brooks, Samuel William Charlton, Martin Charrat, Nate Cooper, Myriam Deraiche, Kyle Driggs, Jeremias Faganel, Amber Brooke Fulljames, Tomasz Jadach, Rafal Kaszubowski, Justin Keats, Reed Kelly, Denis Kibenko, Joe McAdam, Raven McRae, Amber J Merrick, Sheridan Mouawad, Amber Barbee Pickens, Justin Prescott, Fletcher Blair Sanchez, Mathieu Sennacherib, Blakely

A capture of the show before they made changes this summer; the show is great fun and the acrobatics are incredible. Both Jeremy and Ruby are fantastic. Nicely capture with just a couple quick dropouts. There are some small heads on the bottom that occasionally block the actors’ feet, but generally don’t affect the overall action. There is a bit of washout, especially in wider shots

Very similar to the video that is commercially available, but there are some differences. This is a copy of Fosse’s own video which he edited and returned to the producers. It's a bit longer than the other video and Fosse chose many different angles and takes. This was his suggestion for how the show should be edited, but most of it was ignored. The show itself was not staged by Fosse, but by his associate, Kathryn Doby, based on his original Broadway staging. It is rumored that Fosse was not happy with the video that was released, preferring this edit better, and very unhappy that his suggestions were not utilized. Has counter along the bottom of the screen and some generational loss.

Kyle Dean Massey, Ciara Renee, Terrance Mann, Charlotte d'Amboise, Rachel Bay Jones, Annie Potts

Wonderful HD capture of the new leads who have joined the cast. The show is still in top shape, Kyle gives a great Pippin and beautiful voice to match! Ciara gives some great vocal variations of her own.

Chicago/America - August 16, 2014

Ciara Renee, Kyle Dean Massey, John Rubinstein, Priscilla Lopez, Rachel Bay Jones,  Charlotte d’ Amboise, Colin Cunliffe (u/s), Eli Tokash.

A great capture of Ciara and Kyle during John’s Broadway run. This cast plays well off each other, and the show has a great energy. Nicely captured overall, but with a few blackouts. There are about six minutes of scattered blackouts at the beginning of act one; it’s much better starting with Corner of the Sky. After that there is one blackout during the singalong portion of No Time At All, and one for the first four minutes of act two. There is also a bit of washout, but no obstruction.

US Tour (LA)/America - October 23, 2014

Matthew James Thomas, Lisa Karlin (u/s Leading Player), John Rubinstein, Andrea Martin, Kristine Reese, Sabrina Harper, Callan Bergmann, Lucas Schultz

Nice video with no obstruction, no major blackouts, and just some slight washout in a few wide shots; one quick dropout during No Time At All, but the rest is complete; excellent clear sound and nice picture; includes curtain call.

Leading Player: Sasha Allen, Pippin: Matthew James Thomas, Charles: John Rubinstein, Berthe: Andrea Martin, Catherine: Kristine Reese, Fastrada: Sabrina Harper, Lewis: Callan Bergmann, Theo: Lucas Schultz

The first capture of the new US Tour. Sasha is a very sassy Leading Player with great vocals, and Matthew’s performance feels fresh and new after his Broadway run. The audience has a lot of energy, and it made for great performances all around, especially during the interactive bits like No Time at All. This is a perfect capture no blackouts, no obstruction, and only a bit of washout in the wide shots. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. A+

US Tour (Costa Mesa)/America - November 16, 2014

Sasha Allen, Kyle Dean Massey, John Rubinstein, Lucie Arnaz, Kristine Reese, Sabrina Harper, Callan Bergmann, Lucas Schultz

Captured after the tour’s first cast change. Kyle and Kristine are great together, and Sasha has settled into the role a bit more. An excellent capture with no blackouts, no obstruction, and very little washout. One of my best captures to date, and definitely the best capture of Pippin to date. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. A+

About seven minutes blackouts during the performance, three minutes at the beginning of act one, two minutes during Success, one minute during Look What You've Done, and one for the last minute of act two; some heads at the bottom of the screen, but only block very front of the stage; some washout in some of the wides but good video otherwise. Eden Espinosa, Jared Zirilli, Elizabeth A Davis, Betsy Morgan, Tally Sessions, Jeremy Davis, Jennifer Hubilla (u/s), Rusty Ross, Mike Sears.

A wonderful world premiere adaptation of Somerset Maugham’s “Rain”. The music is beautiful and Eden belts the score with her usual powerhouse vocals. This is fully captured with no blackouts. There is on head center stage that can be seen occasionally, but it only affects the action once for a few seconds in act two. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. A

Broadway/America - December 26, 2014

Hugh Jackman (The Man), Cush Jumbo (The Woman), Laura Donnelly (The Other Woman)

A nice capture of one of this year’s most talked about plays. A very intimate, thoughtful, and charming story; Hugh Jackman gives a great performance, as does the supporting cast. This is a good capture overall with no washout, very little obstruction, and only a couple short dropouts. There is one head that can occasionally be seen, but does not affect the action, and there are a couple scenes that are a bit dark and hard to see. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is a bit buzzy sometimes, and there is some occasionally shuffling, but all dialogue is listenable. Includes curtain call, audio only of Hugh’s BC/EFA speech and auction, and playbill scans.

Seussical - First Preview - Pre Broadway
Boston/America - August 27, 2000

David Shiner (Cat in the Hat), Kevin Chamberlin (Horton), Janine LaManna (Gertrude McFuzz), Michele Pawk (Mazzie).

The Actor's are all great, take maybe David Shiner as the Cat; with Janine LaManna and Kevin Chaimberlin putting on exceptional performances. "The Lorax" was preformed in Boston, before it was cruelly cut from the Broadway show, The opening choral is amazing, but we see an oddly designed Onceler, and animals. The video skips over the Oncler building his shop to The Lorax sending the animals away, then again to Jojo ending the sequence. The video itself is not good quality, and is shaky, and often jumps random parts, but just for the freaking rarity of the thing and the fact that Seussical stuff is so hard to come by it's worth it.

A gorgeous production of this rarely produced classic, and each of the cast is absolutely perfect in their roles. There is a hilarious little blooper when Jane opens the champagne and it bubbles over, spilling onto the floor. Perfectly captured with no blackouts, no obstructions and just a little spotlight washout in a few wide shots. Filmed in 16:9 with a mix of wides, mediums and closeups.
