Highlights of act 1 for about 46 minutes. Lot of wandering and no zoom. Not the best capture, often the ceiling is filmed

Matilda - Limited trade
Broadway/America - March 6, 2013

Oona Laurence, Bertie Carvel, Gabriel Ebert, Lesli Margherita, Lauren Ward, Karen Aldridge, Jack Broderick, Frenie Acoba.

A Great HD capture of an exceptional show! Should win all kinds of Tonys hands down with a great story and concept! The cast was fantastic and Bertie is just awesome!

Matilda
Broadway/America - March 13, 2013

Sophia Gennusa (Matilda), Bertie Carvel (Miss Trunchbull), Lauren Ward (Miss Honey), Gabriel Ebert (Mr Wormwood), Lesli Margherita (Mrs Wormwood), Taylor Trensch (Michael Wormwood), Ryan Steele (u/s Rudolpho), Jack Broderick (Bruce), Frenie Acoba (Lavender), Jared Parker (Nigel), Karen Aldridge (Mrs Phelps), Ben Thompson (Escapologist), Samantha Strum (Acrobat)

Sophia is the youngest Matilda and she was great. Very small lyrical changes from London. Well shot and mostly steady, a head appears at the bottom of the screen sometimes because the person in front kept leaning forward urgh. Some wandering during Telly as the house lights were on.

Matilda - Limited Trade - MOV - Extensive Highlights
Broadway/America - February 19, 2014

Paige Brady (Matilda), Sean Montgomery (Party Entertainer), John Arthur Greene (Doctor), Lesli Margherita (Mrs. Wormwood), Gabriel Ebert (Mr. Wormwood), Taylor Trensch (Michael Wormwood), Karen Aldridge (Mrs. Phelps), Jill Paice (Miss Honey), Sean Montgomery (The Escape Artist), Jennifer Bowles (The Acrobat), Chris Hoch (Miss Trunchbull), Phillip Spaeth (Rudopho), Sean Montgomery (Sergei), Jack Broderick (Bruce), Frenie Acoba (Lavender), Jared Parker (Nigel), Beatrice Tulchin (Amanda), Ted Wilson (Eric), Ava DeMary (Alice), Analise Scarpaci (Hortensia) Judah Bellamy (Tommy).

Full Act 1 except some parts of Bruce and Naughty were cut and Act two is only When I Grow Up and Quiet. Two heads keep getting in the way but there was nothing you could do about that. Filmed vertically with a phone.

Matilda
Broadway/America - May 9, 2014

Oona Laurence (Matilda), Bertie Carvel (Miss Trunchbull), Lauren Ward (Miss Honey), Lesli Margherita (Mrs Wormwood), Gabriel Ebert (Mr Wormwood), Phillip Spaeth (Rudolpho), Karen Aldridge (Mrs Phelps), Jake Broderick (Bruce), Frenie Acoba (Lavender)

Oona is a darker, more brooding Matilda and it works well. The first act is nearly perfect and unobstructed, second act’s escapologist scene (~3 minutes) is audio only and there is some slight head obstruction at times during the second act.

Matilda
Broadway/America - August 23, 2014

Ripley Sobo (Matilda), Jill Paice (Miss Honey), Christopher Sieber (Miss Trunchbull), Matt Harrington(Mr. Wormwood), Lesli Margherita (Mrs. Wormwood), Natalie Venetia Belcon, Alex Brightman, Phillips Spaeth, Ava DeMary, Mitchell Sink, Marcus D’Angelo, Sofia Roma Rubino, Ted Wilson, Alexa Shae Niziak, Heather Tepe, Chris Sumpter, John Arthur Green, Colin Israel, Jennifer Bowles, Geoff Packard

A nice capture overall. There are two blackouts in act one: two minutes during the first Wormwood scene, and three minutes during the first Library scene. During act two, Telly is blacked out while the house lights are on; video starts at Lavender’s entrance. There is one head center stage, but it’s worked around fairly well and rarely affects the action. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

Matilda
Broadway/America - December 31, 2014

Eliza Holland Madore (Matilda), Alison Luff (Miss Honey), Christopher Sieber (Miss Trunchbull), Matt Harrington (Mr. Wormwood), Lesli Margherita (Mrs. Wormwood), Karen Aldridge (Mrs. Phelps), Alex Brightman (Michael Wormwood), Phillip Spaeth (Rudolpho), Sofia Roma Rubino (u/s Lavender), Mitchell Sink (Bruce), Jonah Halperin (Nigel), Beatrice Tulchin (Amanda), Christian Michael Camporin (Eric), Alexa Shae Niziak (Alice), Ava DeMary (Hortensia), Chris Sumpter (Tommy), Geoff Packard (t/r Doctor/Sergei/The Escape Artist), Jennifer Bowles (The Acrobat), Sean Montgomery (Party Entertainer). Ensemble; Scott Difford, Marisa Kennedy, Matt Miegs, Cassie Silva, Clay Thomson

There are a few heads at the bottom of the screen, but they are easily worked around so they rarely affect the action. There are some quick dropouts in each act, and Telly is audio only while the house lights are on, but there are no other major blackouts. Filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups.

Matilda
Broadway/America - January 1, 2015

Tori Feinstein (Matilda), Alison Luff (Miss Honey), Christopher Sieber (Miss Trunchbull), Matt Harrington (Mr. Wormwood), Lesli Margherita (Mrs Wormwood), Karen Aldridge, Alex Brightman, Phillips Spaeth, Grace Capeless, Mitchell Sink, Jonah Halperin ,Beatrice Tulchin, Christian Michael Camporin, Alexa Shae Niziak, Ava DeMary, Chris Sumpter, Geoff Packard, Jennifer Bowles, Sean Montgomery

An excellent capture of Tori as Matilda. She’s a very impressive young actress, and has her own fresh take on the role. The rest of the cast is solid as well; I believe this is the first capture of Alison Luff, and she steps into the show beautifully. This is very nicely captured with no washout, no major blackouts, and very little obstruction. A railing blocks the very front left corner of the stage, but only the actors’ legs are unseen. Telly is audio only; the video for act two begins when the house lights go down and Lavender takes the stage. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups.

A great capture of Mimi’s performance and the rest of the new cast on Broadway. Mimi has her own take on the role and gives a wonderful performance.  A very nice capture overall, with a bit of obstruction and a few short blackouts. There are a couple heads and a railing that can be seen at the bottom of the screen, but they generally only block the actors’ feet. There are three larger blackouts, There is some occasional washout

Matilda: Aviva Winick, Miss Honey: Alison Case, Miss Trunchbull: Bryce Ryness, Mr. Wormwood: Rick Holmes

This is very nicely captured overall. There is a one minute blackout during the first library scene, and another during I’m Here. Only the first half of Telly is blacked out; the second half is captured. There are some heads that can be seen occasionally, but they do not block the action. There is a bit of washout in wider shots.

Matilda - Final on Broadway
Broadway/America - January 1, 2017

Willow McCarthy, Jennifer Blood, Bryce Ryness, John Sanders, Lesli Margherita, Karen Aldridge, Joseph Medeiros, Phillips Spaeth, Serena Quadrato, Evan Gray, Gavin Swartz, Brooklyn Nelson, Ian Saraceni, Akira Golz, Talia Ryder, Trey Middleton, Geoff Packard, Michael Fatica, Jennifer Bowles, Wesley Faucher, Marisa Kennedy, Colin Israel, Travis Waldschmidt.

Final Broadway show with lots of energy from the cast and audience. Denise Wood gave a nice speech after the curtain call. A good capture overall; there are a few heads that can be seen at the bottom of the screen throughout, but they are worked around well and generally don’t block more than the actors’ feet. There are about three minutes of blackouts during Miracle, and a few other quick dropouts throughout the show. Telly is partially captured.
